public policy concentration - mpa degree plan

Thirteen courses (39 graduate credit hours) are required for the MPA degree. Students complete the program by first taking the beginning core courses, then taking specialization courses. As students complete their concentration courses, they complete the ending core courses.

Please note: Capstone Project is required for the public policy concentration.

PA 8990 Capstone Project (Students admitted Fall 2011 and beyond will complete the Capstone Project as an ending core course)

PA 8330 Policy Analysis
PA 8400 Public Budgeting
PA 8600 Administrative Law
PA 8320 Policy Evaluation

Elective Options (6 credits):

PA 8450 Advanced Management Analysis, or
Other approved methods course;
Advanced course in public policy area

*Please note: Students must complete a capstone project as a requirement for public policy concentration.
